Guppy Gossip! (Winter 2010)

Kai and Jackson got into the pool and Teacher Lisa asked them if they were ready to swim. They answered, "No!" Lisa asked them what they need to get ready. Kai replied,"Goggles and fins!" and Jackson answered, "Hot cocoa and a hot dog!". Then Kai changed his answer to "Hot cocoa and Teacher Lisa!

Teacher Omar's student stated, "There are no boogers in my teeth!"

Arabella E. told Teacher Dyan, "My eyes glow in the dark!"

Zane S. told Teacher Aprile, "I went to Mexico and had the best tacos ever! My dad is 44 and my mom is 40 and they have never had tacos that good!"

Teacher Aprile was telling Varun what skills he still needed to do without fins to get his red ribbon. Varun replied, "I already know how to do all that. I'm just not showing you!"

Isabelle S. had her very first class in the pool. While doing the inner tube train around the pool she told Teacher Cici that “swimming is just like flying!”

Teacher Aprile asked Cooper M. "Teacher Aprile is never silly, right?" Cooper exclaimed "Only when it's time to swim!"

Rowan asked Henry, “Are you going to be naughty during class today?” As Teacher AJ put on fins Henry replied “No! I’m not naughty!”

Teacher Lisa asked her students which animal they would like to be to visit the island zoo. Katherine Kuan stated, “There are no animals in that zoo!” Chloe Casement replied, “Well, there is going to be!”

Teacher Lisa told Chloe that some of the goggles smell like cherries and some like grapes. Lisa asked Chloe what the blue goggles smell like. Chloe replied, “Parachutes!”

Teacher Lisa asked Katherine and Chloe, “What is your favorite kind of pizza?” Katherine replied “Sausage!” and Chloe replied “Sausage with peanut butter!”

Teacher Michelle M. put a little car floatie on Ysabel’s forehead and said “now you have a car on your forehead!” Ysabel grumpily responded “look don’t push it, I’ve had a rough day!”

“Ilyana was telling teacher Michelle M. about her upcoming vacation to HAMsterdam, Paris & Russia. She said she can’t wait to see all the hamsters in HAMSTERdam!

“At the end of the class we were working on our dives", teacher Vanessa told the class to show her their prettiest dives. Nolan dove in and came up to the top of the water and instantly said…”no flipping ---MY BAD!!”

Olivia has missed class the last 3 weeks, so when she got to class one day she asked her teacher what her name was? “Teacher Barbara” she said. Olivia responded with…”well that’s a silly name, I like regular names!”

At the beginning of class, students were showing me their boo-boos. Cassidy said, “My boo-boo’s inside looks like a banana!”

Instead of asking her teacher Melanie when she would get her next ribbon, Alexis asked when she would get her next “bow”

When asking Patrick the name of his “village” (which is what he calls the stairs) he responded “Pat-ville”

Teacher Christina noticed that Jamie has a runny nose so she got a tissue and held it to Jamie’s nose and asked him to “blow”. Jamie proceeded to make a balloon face & blow it on to the tissue....somebody’s working hard on those Up-Faces!!!

One Friday evening, teacher Kristine asked Geraldyn what her favorite ice cream was and she replied “Rainbow”! Teacher Kristine then asked “How does Rainbow taste like?” she replied “It taste like good!!”

Teacher Aprile was trying to correct Calum’s kick and told him that he needed “straight leg kicks”. He replied “Well I guess I should stop riding my bike!!”

The conversation continued later with Aprile saying, “You never see Olympics swimmers with bendy-leg kicks”. Calum quickly replied “It’s a good thing I’m going to be an engineer, not an Olympic swimmer!!!”
