What if my child cries?

Let us start by saying that it is completely normal for a child to cry during the child’s first swim lesson(s). Consider the child’s perspective—he or she is in a strange environment in the care of an unfamiliar instructor. That said, we train our teachers to understand the nature of a child’s fear. The instructor will then work to gain the trust of the child, in part by acknowledging the child’s fear and then helping the child to conquer it. Often, a simple reassurance makes all the difference.

How long will it take for my child to be swimming and/or be safe in the water?

This varies for each child. Consistent practice and attendance are key factors in achieving swimming proficiency and water safety

How can I contact my swim teacher? Questions/concerns about your swimmers’ progress?

If you wish to contact your child’s teacher for any reason, please visit our website and fill out a Parent Teacher Communication Form. Your teacher will follow up with you before your next swim lessons.

What if my child is not feeling well?

If your child has a cold, but is eating well and acting as normal, you may bring him or her to class. Please do not bring a child who has a fever.

Private lessons vs group lessons?

We believe that small group lessons are a more effective and fun way for most children to learn to swim. The small group classes are beneficial to our students because of the social interaction it allows, as well as the opportunities it provides for our students to learn from watching each other. We do recognize that some students benefit greatly from the extra attention provided in a private lesson. In an effort to provide a variety of options to better suit the needs of our customers, we offer private lessons. Simply call our customer service department to help with scheduling.

Do you offer any discounts? (i.e. Military, foster child, etc.)

No. Although, customers will receive a 10% discount if they have 3 or more students enrolled and/or 3 or more total perpetual enrollments on their swim account.

What if my child has a medical condition ?

If you believe that your child has any form of medical condition which might reasonably affect his or her participation in swim lessons, please advise the office staff during the registration process.

Can I change my child’s class to a different day and /or time ?

Absolutely! We are happy to transfer your child’s regularly-scheduled class to a different day and/or time, subject to availability.

What if I join in the middle of the month?

Your payment would be prorated.

I can’t find make-up classes that work for my schedule and they go to waste, what can I do?

We have the flexibility to schedule these classes at any of our locations.
