San Bruno Site Closure for Building Upgrades 8/5-9/30

LPB San Bruno will be closed for building upgrades starting Monday, August 5, 2024, and is expected to reopen on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Read email updates regarding LPB SB closure here.

Upgrades and Benefits

During this period, we will be replacing the San Bruno school’s roof and plumbing. The aging roof has been a persistent concern due to frequent leaks during winter storms. The replacement will address this issue and bring significant structural enhancements to the facility.

The plumbing replacement involves upgrading from the original 2 ½ inch to 6-inch plumbing. This upgrade will vastly improve flow rates, allowing us to maintain water quality effectively. Additionally, the pool room ceiling will be replaced with a higher ceiling featuring eight large skylights, providing natural light and a modern ambiance. New lighting and a heating/ventilation system will also be installed, ensuring a comfortable and well-lit environment in the pool room.

About Your Class

If you plan on keeping your same class day/time for the fall, you do not need to take any action. Your class will be available for you to return to after the building upgrades have been completed. During the closure, our Booking Department can make class transfers for existing swimmers.

September Billing

You will not be charged September tuition unless your membership fee is due. Any new enrollments that have paid for September tuition will receive an account credit to be applied toward October tuition instead.

Free Summer Make-Ups

You may use your two free summer make-ups at any LPB location during the closure time. We will be extending the deadline for your free summer make-ups until 11/30/24.

Adjusted Holiday Closure Dates

Due to the extended closure in August, our winter break dates will be adjusted. San Bruno will be closed for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day instead of the usual two weeks.
